Stanley, TAS, AU Full-on blast with a big crew, for a Wednesday! Bit rough with chop and rolling swell at times, starting to smooth out as  the tide dropped and I had to leave for work. Happy to get a small piece of it though.

JP45, 5.1 OD, 22 bps

Stanley, TAS, AU

Started off a good sail with Cookie, Todd, Brad, Barry and later Ray

As soon as Barry left it started to flatten out and build a bit then Todd came off and injured broke/sprained (Dont know yet) his leg/ankle out at the third channel writhing in pain and just as Ray arrived he did one run to the scene and got 40 kts as Brad and I were getting the 4wd closer.

Pleased it was Todd and not Cookie that got hurt geez after 300m firemans carry with 4 of us he was starting to get heavy(should have discarded the weight vest doh) Can"t imagine carrying Cookie that far. Anyway I think Todd will be in the market for a new wetsuit and booties after the Ambos cut them off.

Otherwise good fun on my new straight out of the bag 2016 Koncept 5.4 CA sp40 Tribal 21

Dorans, Nice easterly sail. IS90, R3 7.0, DW34. Such a nice flat water sail. Only did one bear off as I was having a fair bit of trouble staying up wind. 36 sounds a bit too high, would have thought 33 or 34 max but oh well thats what KA72 says! Was really trying for a 1 hr but my GPS turned off and had to stop and restart it...bugger, looked like about a 22-23 knot one. Got a few good alphas in too Cool

Stanley, TAS, AU, Pretty rough water to start with, on top of that there was a swell comming in the channel. Started to get some speed

on the low tide as the water flattened out. We all had a rest from sailing to help Todd after his crash. Finished up doing a few runs with

Ray before it got rough again. Did the alpha on the M112.

Great late sail with Ferg, Al, Will and Phil. Will and I had an alpha gunfight. Lots of fun in a reverse Dorans NE, flatish and smooth.

One to remember today. Everyone else has summed the day up. Seemed to be good wind but couldnt find that bit extra. Maybe should have come into the inside chanels earlier than on the way home. Had the nicest runs on the way in< in the first chanel.

Todd certainly made it down there, and was having a ball on the 45.

Unfortunately, I've just heard he had  stack after I left, injured his foot and had to go to hospital.

Don't know any other details at this stage.

Just  been  to casualty to see Todd. Not good news unfortunately. 5 broken  bones  in his foot and a broken tibia and fibula. In a lot of pain and waiting  for the orthopedic surgeon.

It's a sad reminder to all of us that speed sailing is dangerous

Speedy recovery Todd. Sounds like if it was me they would have just waited for the tide to come in and wash me towards the ambulance.

F--- no wounded you were squirming and cringing with that many hurty bits! I agree Johno, if it was Cookie, Brad's hilux would have had to have a crack at that last wet bit. Speedy recovery old dog, will be looking forward to seeing you back on the water.
