Swan Bay, VIC, AU

Its a hard life for some...imagine having nothing else to do but sail all afternoon on a friday... :P

Bit more wind than yesterday and it picked up more when the seabreeze kicked in. Was on my 6.5 and just cruised the whole afternoon. Had some good runs in behind the first sandbar but the wind was really consistent and hardly gusted up at all for good speeds. Practicing my gybes again today and can now do planing gybes on both tacks, also really happy to get PB's for the hour and distance, gybing makes such a difference in keeping consistent speed up and also not getting knackered water starting over and over.

Have fun on sunday, i'll be in NSW...

Also i damaged my 6.0m sail. While i was putting outhaul on to rig the sail it ripped the second panel close to the back corner of it. Its not major but what strong, waterproof tape can i use to patch it up?

Im also pretty sure that both my 6.0 and my 6.5 are almost at the ends of their lives so if anyone has or finds a good deal on a sail or two in the 5.5-6.5 size i would be more than happy to hear about it.

Cheers.
