Arrived early to get a park at Wello SE side, Wind picked up quickly and got solid during the morning. Rigged the 6.2 Evo.3 - iS97 Fin 34cm, got some good runs in but it got a bit scary. Final run on the combo and I got wiped out big time over the front - sailed through big gust and then got hit agian.

Lucky I only lost my sunny's, nothing damaged 0r broken. Chenged to RS.58 - iS80l & Select 29cm, the wind got stronger from the SE with gust up to 28 knts - wind steady at 22/23 knts.

The low tide was to high and the water in the channel very messy/choppy, had a few more runs but decided to called it a day.

Hopefully tomorrow a new day....

Cheers B  Cool

Got to the train early to find a park and wind came in around 10.30. Went out on the JP at first then spent most of the time on the CA. Just could not get any pressure off the wind and always looking for more wind. Seemed to pickup just as the bank was going under. Yell

A Windy Day... Sailed IS94, Avanti 6.1 & Stinger32

Could have done with a bit more time on the water with this session..

Did the Freerace and got catapulted big time about 10mins into the hour - Bruised Leg and Badly bruised pride.. Stuck out the hour and was pleased to survive..

I think I'll try to get some more sessions on the water (once my leg starts working again ha ha)..

Pretty good sail, this place has potential even with the high tide still some good flatish water. Just needed to catch a few more big gusts.

Hi Glynn,

Great to catch up with you & Sue again. The SE winds at the lake are usually constant.

Today it was swinging from S, SSE to SE. plus very weak and gusty.

A good SE wind you can sail straight from the Picnic area straight accross to the other side of the lake and back to the same spot.

All the Best for the rest of your trip and hope you get some wind down at Canton Beach.

Cheers

Nice Pictures!

Vando, pity that you didn't have GPS as I spent a lot of time searching for logs to see the race.

I hope one day there will be even applet to replay multiple GPS logs from races on the Google map overlay.

I will try to find any other recordings from this race today. The best could be downloadable format that allow to replay in GSP Result software v.6
