Coal Point, NSW, AU - Exocet RS4, 7.7 Mauisails, 40 C3 sting fin. Nicely powered up for a while then swapped down to RS2, 7.0 Naish and a fin, went over the sand islands hoping for a great ride but the wind died. Byrons old RS2 is weeping now as it is not used to going so slow Tongue out

Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU

Hard to pick wind here but ill guess around 12-17 knts. The weed banks are massive in the shallows and i was tempted  to head into deeper water.

Still, a good sail with the other 7/8 saiilors. Ill be back.

Fanitic 110l, 72 w, speed weed 250.sailworks nx 6.6 m.

10-20kts NE - NNE Peel st Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU- should have rigged my 7m but rigged for the forecast not what was there..Undecided Supposed to get to 20-23kts even bought my speedboard..( sorry jinxed it...) Embarassed

Fun session - powered in the flats although the 7m would have given me better speeds. patchy up towards Buff.I hadn't deleted the previous history so no idea how fast i was going although knew it was slower than last sessions.

Did some nice gybes but still haven't got my alphas going. I did aim for some but was seduced by the glorious unzipping of the glassy water in the flats..Tongue outUndecided..Did get a few where there was wind for the exit. I will have to just do some reaches for alphas..should be able to get 20kt +..

I  need to work on my upwind. After a few spinouts with the delta I went back to my shuffle upwind. Gets me there but slow so it stuffs up my hour..

Al, Milsy , Mick x 2, Michael, Wayne + others

I wonder if this is the last NE for the season? Boats on the slip all weekend  Money mouth so no sailing for me..Frown

Burrum Heads, QLD, AU

Leaving  now, in a hurry.

Thursday night now & I am back home.

Wed was very nice sailing but still not enough wind. Tried North run early but no wind so went to south which gets better wind as more open to the sea. I spent most of the day there in beautiful breeze & a chop that was great fun upwind, got the best NM going up, a little off the breeze. The wind picked up in the arvo & the northern banks started to work a bit, just needed a tighter angle or more wind to bearaway. Later went back to north run (walking over the banks) & it was better, very smooth, almost budgie style but no weed & clean water.

Tibor was ripping on the north run all day, he really had it worked out. saw byron running upwind about 1 metre from the sand bank. That was gutsy, there are some spectacular crashes, Was so tired at the end I fell every second gybe.

----------* Laughing It wasn't me ..it was the kid with the texta..Wink.. Thanks.

Great effort in the light winds guys!

Thanks for the track map and description Bruce. Love the idea of the long runs.Think I'd feel a bit out of my depth up there with the tide etc..

Yes Sue, the runs can be over 3ks long and by the time it comes to gybe you need a chiropractor to get your body to move.  The tide often pushes against the gybe,  washing off your speed. I am eating my guts out about having to come home early, it really is a great place to sail even if the wind is not as good as you would like. The rough bits on the south run were as much fun or better than the smooth bits.

Tibor has discovered a new power source, an eveready bunny plugged in somewhere I think. Byron is doing the usual,  Andrew seemed to be getting the hang of it and getting smoother and faster.  Hugh had a serious disagreement with a bank and did an amazing fin box repair but I can't imagine how anyone can go really fast with such a big sail,  he badly needs more wind.
