Lake Illawarra, NSW, AU. W to WSW 5 knots to 45 knots, sunny & warm - like paradiseSmile

Sailing from the club across the flats. Some very nice flat water interspersed with some 45 knot bullets, actually more like 10 minute blasts!

A bunch of people out. Some runs over the wind chop were very scary , but that is what it is all aboutCool.  A good day.

A bit dissappointed, finally saw 36kts on the gps but 2sec peak is a fair bit slower.

Fun day with the team though.

Probably the most wind in which ive held down a 6m sail :)

Big windy westerly on the lake. First time on a short board in a while. Took a bit to get use to it, but was great fun. Awesome running along hte relatively flat water out in front of Primbee. Started to get in the groove and felt like I got some quick times on a 5.5 gaastra wave sail and a JP super sport 109. Bushfire gave me a bit of a go on his speed kit, and boy that is another thing entirely. The board flies form the get go and just keeps going and the sail felt so stable. The combo loved the power.

Though I was only just over 30 knots. Stoked to get these numbers. Need to check to confirm they were on the speed board (pretty sure the peak was)
