Got there for this thing called lunch time sailing 1 hour Wink.

Rigged my favourite sail 7.0, walking to the water it was stronger and stronger similar to yesterdaySurprised.... The Old man was coming in and said Son take my 5.8...

Went in changed and sails and booms and back out I go, here’s hoping its going to back off.. NOPE wrong it was NUKINGCry...

NP EVO 7 5.8 Dad + Tabou Speedster 100 + UFO CRAB POT = man these sails are amazing....

Well 5.8 felt like my 7.0. In the washing machine chop chop, Happy Days again at PRIMBEE. But as its a Monday not many out to enjoy the moments Keef, Ian, Bob, Greg... and Over all the these sails are well balanced and are very easy to control when you think that its really ON.

Thanks Dad Terry

Primbee, NSW, AU

Great afternoon session after work, almost as good as yesterday, just a bit more gusty. Very happy with my corner and NM again but not sure what happened to my 2 second. KA72 has used one of my first bearaways for the 2 second, not one of my last runs where I got 42.76 and 42.37 on consecutive seconds????.

Anyway a great afternoon, two in a row.

Amazing PB Mark! - CongratsCool.

Real Speed calculated your 2 sec at 42.0 kts and alpha at 26.9 kts. Just mega!! Your acceleration on the 2sec run was phenomenal (but still believable!)

Thanks for checking it on Real Speed Bushy. Yes it was a quick burst of power before I had to gybe. It was getting shallow and the trees were approaching very rapidly.

Keef, only one car in the car park at 4:15pm,  Michael was just heading out, Detlev came down for a chat, and then two kiters turned up later.

After reading your last post MT, your still a freak Champion. I've been thinking I'm not going to hug trees with you or the others "approaching very Rapidly" Windang Road next on a high tide for you guys 🤣. You take the Terry's Kahunas Trophy 🏆. Seriously we'll done it is interesting watching you and the team and others doing the bearaways that's for sure. Dad told you they read the posts even if all don't comment...

Great numbers MT. Both GPS Action Replay and GPSResults give you 42.57 knots for 2 seconds. But looking at the track and the data, this 2 second segment looks suspicious. You accelerated from 31.9 knots to 42.38 knots in just 3 seconds, and then dropped from 40.22 knots to 19.94 knots in 3 seconds. Your angle to the wind is very deep - 164 degrees, almost dead downwind. During your best alpha, your speed had dropped to 27.97 knots when you reached the same angle (which is much more realistic, unless you got hit by a killer gust just as you went into the jibe). Chances are that ka72.com invalidated the points due to an acceleration filter. Here's your 42.57 knot section:

The top alpha is close by:

Thanks Peter for having a very detailed look at that data.

Just to explain the bearaway.

I did feel a very aggressive acceleration as I beared away into a black 35kt+ gust. The water was flat and I was using a 6.4 sail and a custom 4kg speedboard, so accelerating is something that board does very well. I was running out of room very rapidly and it was also getting very shallow so I went into a low laydown gybe. My boom and sail caught the water and stopped me very quickly so that may explain the quick decceleration.

Thanks again for the feed back.

Happy sailing.
