Primbee, NSW, AU

Played the Fathers Day card for a very enoyable sail.  Erratic wind swinging from WSW to WNW, up to 25 knots in the gusts.

Long list of boards and fins trialled:

Mistral Speed 95 + MUF Delta XT 20 - not a good combo.  This fin is much better in the Falcon 80.

Starboard Hypersonic 105 + BP Weedspeed 25 with custom tapered tip.  Fin a bit small for such a wide (76) board.

Fanatic Falcon 104 + Tribal Weedspeed 25 - Awesome - great grip - could really push hard.  I think I'll glue these two together permanently.

Starboard Hypersonic 105 + MUF Deltat XT 26 - quite nice - great grip from the big delta.  Need to work on fin fit - could be a nice light wind combo.

Still waiting to trial the Mistral Speed 95 + BP Weedspeed 25 with customer tapered tip but the wind ran out.

Tez had a big crash gybing when his fin let go - hope the shoulder bruising is not too bad .

Good to see Al, Gerry and Cap'n Bushfire.

Primbee, NSW, AU   A bit of hanging around this arvo with a fluffy SW, but some good wind coming through.

Only the locals out today, lost the small fin in the chop and gust, Oh that hurts.

Primbee, NSW, AU WSW up to 20 knots or so

Pretty patchy and light for a start but some good fun gusts. The wind improved towards the end of the session. Out with Tez & Eckers for a start but just me towards the end. Good fun with pretty flat water.

Sunrise session @ Primbee. Only chance for a sail, so I took it. Water was very low and wind patchy. Naish SP95, Gun GSR 7.1, Kestrel 17. Too shallow for this setup in close. Wind came in so changed to iSonic W49 and UFO 18/50 and stayed out wide. Long walk back when I was left windless out past the lake log. Wind was filling in again as I left.

Mate I'm knackered just trying to process all the board / fin combos you tried. Great idea though, I usually try something once and put up with it. Embarassed

Ekcers, I use a Tribal 25sw (31 lg, 25 deep) in my Mistral 95. This combo works well with up to a 6.3 sail.
