Excellect day but not keen on the results. I mustn't be bearing off enough. Tried several different things and felt like I did really well untill I looked at home at the results.

Gear Futura 104L, Gator 6m and 35BP fin.

Another great day at LC. The youngest of the family decided to join the team today, so hopefully the skipper will allow that shortly - watch out for "Kezza"! Cool

Wellington Point, QLD, AU really frustrating sail this morning wind full on 18-20 knotsand then just went away 5 knots, sailed with Glynn we gave it away as a bad joke. We could see the wind line way out towards straddie but none in close.

Nice sail at Lake Cootharaba, gusty wind but good and strong at times. No flat water but not too choppy either. great place to sail.

Welcome to the team Kezza and well done for your first post. Seems like Andy could for his own team with all the family.

Greg - Don't be disappointed with your results. Viccy Point isn't a speed place but more about good fun. Not sure if you hung around the other day to watch some of my runs to see where to head off the wind. Even I don't run deep enough off the wind compared to others. The idea is to run up into the southern corner pointing as high as you can without stalling then head back towards the northern point and as you make speed then spot a gust, bare away to at least the top carpark. Right then you need to keep the board trimmed and small adjustments of the sail to keep the power locked in. In fact the sail should become lighter as you head away with the wind. Hope this makes some sort of sense and maybe have a look at my tracks from Monday on KA72 to give an idea. I'm not the best for advise as I'm no speed sailor but it would seem you might not be heading off the wind enough. I'll make a video of one of my runs to show you and put it on FB group.
