Cocky (58511km): Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU. 79 F / 6.2M2 / 16 Tribal Delta. Waited for wind to pick up and it came in at midday Westerly. We should have gone out in lighter NW first up. What an experience. Wind was 30-40 kn with no breaks unlike normal westerly. Tried to do some runs but way to rough and windy. Ended up walking most the way back in and sailed last 500m out of straps and not hooked up. When Matt turned up we went back out as wind had got less at times. Again there were gusts where you see the white spray and small white spray willy willy moving accross the water. Darren and I sat in the water holding the sails down waiting for a break to try to sail. Really struggled to ever get any confidence to have a go in these conditions. Great experience to see how much wind you can get further South comparred to SEQ.
