Billy (10637km): Holloways Beach, QLD, AU Sub 13kt back up sail for the current ruler of our Mud Pit. B2 had 2 hrs head start on me but Im pretty confident that I didnt miss out on much. Very teasing wafty and patchy breeze today but I have sneaky suspicion that if we had of rigged at the Machand Bch end, we might have faired better. Used: WT72, 7.8 ODM2, BPR 47.5 - Lacking a large amount of horse power today. | ||||||||||||||||||
Benny McCarthy (14442km): Holloways Beach, QLD, AU Light wind sail at the mud pit. Wind looked to be building a bit on arrival... Got out on the water around half past midday. Ended up being 14 knots at best with the wind shifting around, even a tad to the West at times, with lots of holes. B1 joined 2/3's into the session but was left wishing he had some bigger gear as was I (thanks for the company mate!). Would have been interesting had we rigged & sailed off Machan's beach as there looked to be a more solid wind patch there. Still nice to get out for some much loved windsurfing therapy!!! Fingers & Toes crossed for some wind at GI next weekend- the tides are looking super! Used "Big Woody" Futura 124, Severne OD R4 8.6, Venom 48 "Long May our Big Jibs Draw!"
