Saturday 22nd September– Windsurf *** - River Orwell - Levington - sunny.

After a crap morning session at Felixstowe and as I have been making good progress foiling, I was keen to give it another go especially as several were planing to go to Bradfield. So, I put my wetsuit out to dry in the warm sunshine and did my exercises in the garden while Mag was doing her lovely garden. After lunch I checked Landguard and there was wind gusting to 16 knots at Shotley I decided to have a ride over to Levington as I had left it too late to go to the Stour. There was a nice breeze at the Marina when I arrived so rigged as yesterday and was soon out on the water, pretty much carrying on where I left off yesterday with some nice runs across the river trying to avoid the many yachts! After several shorter runs foiling right across the river, I tried for Felixstowe docks but sadly the wind dropped and I had to flounder back and call it a day. Next week is looking promising for wind but tides not great for several local venues so will have to wait and see? So in the end I had a 5 star day but it took two sessions to get it :)
