Safety Bay,

Fab spring day on the SUP at avalon this morning then Skate park with the kids at noon before a sail with Frank in the late arvo.

Pat 128/Lockwood 41 and new to me Reflex 8.6

Picked up Frank and headed up to Safety Bay to enjoy the light seabreaze god that guy wont shut up its all Fangy does this and long narrow boards are the future blah blah blah but once he got to the pond and saw all the kites I saw his jaw drop and realised hes never been this far north before. If you think Frank has issues though ive now admitted to liking SUPS, Windsurfing and Kiting and now have all 3 in the arsenal with a multi disipline foil on its way too gees im in trouble. Checked out swindys kingdom and quite like how he has now seperated the kites from Carlisle street with a sand bar and moat also very intrigued by the possibilities with the new (I guess) sand bar on the eastern side of the boat channel. i was able to run a 41cm fin down the inside of this run and it seemed at a resonable angle to the southerly seabreze we often get late in the day?

Today was pretty crap. I caught a lift with a very dodgy bloke. I don't really want to say much about it. The shag pile in the back of the van was well crusty and the soft serve machine was broken. It only got worse, there was BDSM handcuffs and foiling stuff, but as I said I don't really want to talk about it...

That's no way to bring up daughters John. Exposing them to boardies over a wetsuit.

Pfft, who needs to be a lightweight foiling creepy guy, when you can actually just fly.  ( PS listen to the operator crank up the turbine speed in the background - just shy of 200km/h to get the FangyFlab airborne! )

Looks like fun although perhaps a little less convenient than foiling?
