Dawesville, WA, AU     Big foil gear, 7.8 2XC

Tellytubby reunion, a muppet and Stroppo. Thought I was there early but was beaten by Strop and Elmo who was ready to rock and roll. By the time T1 turned up I was ready to go and Elmo was on his way in. The wind was a bit up and down but had some nice flights. As the gusts were getting fewer and further between I headed further down the estuary to find a bit more. There wasnt untill I turned around to head back and had the longest flight of the day. close to home I got a realy good gust and decided to send it. Top 2 second on the big wing so far.

Good to catch up with Slugger, Bob Jonski and Elmo.

Fun afternoon sail with Shane, Steve, Gary & Cliff on a fairly low tide. Thought about going for an hour but when I asked Steve if he was interested I got the sort of look that is reserved for mad Englishmen in the midday sun. Anyone would think he hadn't sailed for the last 6 months...

In the end had a lot of fun just doing runs along the bank, so worth taking the 6hrs TIL!! Cool

Lilacs JP54 Maui delta 18 TR17 6.3

Great to be back on the water with Shane,Jeremy, Cliff  Gaz and several kites.

Water was a bit low so NM includes a gybe. As for the gybes, I am not very good with the delta.

The good news for me was my foot did not cause me any problems, that was the first sail since a GA operation to remove sea urchin spines.

Albantartica does it again. Morts you had better start carrying some insulin - you have way too many jelly beans to be safe. Oh yeah, and who is this 'Steve' fella you mention? Tongue outLaughing

The urchins were within a few feet of the beach. I was out on a SUP and the offshore wnd was a bit strong out of the lee of the trees on the beach. So I tried closer to the beach and although the beach was sandy there turned out to be some rocks. Fin hit rock, I fell in and ended up with urchin spines in my foot.

The area is a bit west of Lilacs, map ref -20.210947, 57.404800

Surgery was 2 cuts across the ball of my left foot, 15mm deep 40 mm long. Took a while to heal Frown
