Rosevears, TAS, AU

Great to sail with Geoff, Ben and Rod.

Very rough conditions for Rosey on a low tide.

Stanley, TAS, AU, A tough day at West Inlet with Baz. First run was the fastest and easiest. Had 3 or 4 runs then it went broard and picked up, then became unsailable.

The wind probably peaked at 50 knots while standing near the shore. Visability got down to 50 metres with the rain and spray.

Spent 3/4 of an hour making my back to the van, by this time the wind dropped and went West so decided to go back out for a few more runs.

Stanley, TAS, AU .  Was pretty much unsailable when I hit the water, steep chop, deep angle. Had one risky  run, unhooked, couldn't get into the straps, so pulled the plug. Great effort in those conditions Cookie.

Quick sail after work with Steve in the Huon River off Police Point.  Has a lot of potentail, but unfortunately the wind didn't really come through as planned.  Think Steve got some good runs in though.

Dave and I sailed this spot 5 years ago. We thought it was time for another go there. Wind was a bit weird due to rain fronts coming through. I got the top speed further away in flatter water than where Dave was. Around an hours drive from Hobart and definately going back there. Nice long runs and clean fresh water. Great spot with heaps of potentialCool

Hoping to catch the forecast late afternoon wind, wasn't much when I got there so went out on the bigger gear.  After a bit the wind picked up and needed to change down when got absolutely smashed by a huge gust, ended up catapulting and hit the water hard with the back of the head, "woke up" underwater with the world spinning crazily - took a while to work out which way was up and for things to calm down but hopefully no lasting damage apart from a broken boom Tongue out.

Glad to see you posting Tim! Might be worth a precautionary trip to the Docs? Head injuries can have things sitting underneath.

Shame about the boom break, that said - better it than you!
