Windfoil, Foilville

Short and sweet today.

Very gusty warm breeze. Enough for the 6.2 but it faded out. Of course after i derigged it picked up again but a 7 or 8 would have been the go.

Ahh well, really appreciate a cool seabreeze after that.

Early morning session but not early enough, got about 20 minutes of breeze of NE then died, packed up at 8 came back at 12 sailed the NNE but again died, never know the wind has swung to NW now so if it builds a bit more might do session 3 at South Beach around 4pm will seeLaughing.

Left at 3am and arrived 8ish with Stroppo who I met in Kojanup. The wind was a NE 10kts. An hour later it swung E and built to 15 so went out on the 81 Manta with the 7.1 and 20 Delta. the setup was ideal for a cruise and was happy to see a 32. It picked up just a little so changed to the 61 but that was slower. Tried the 66 Manta but the wind died to 12-15. Used the 81 for the rest of the day just loving the experience. Too slow speeds and ran out of time to get the 200km which became the target after the target hour was skunked with the wind dropping off. A magic day with Stoppo, Evets (good to meet you), Shane, Morts, Stretch and Cliff a local. This is how balanced the 81 board and 7.1 and 20 Delta felt today. https://youtu.be/2vTrdFQKcgk

150 Levitator + 76 Infinity wing + 6.4 S2.

Well that ended up being pretty good.  Went down to Peli this morning hoping for a powered up sesh on the M137 + 7.6, but it died after one run.

Had another crack on the foil in the arvo, and it was looking like another skunking when the Nor'wester came in quite fresh (but extremely gusty), and I had to work my my way back upwind to Peli.

Had a few good runs in amongst the yachts, and walked the last few hundred metres back to the beach.  Very nice out there after the NW change. Cool

Missed the road trip to Albany but got the early sail with Boz and JJ at the local, Tried the slalom gear first but the wind was not playing the game so switched to the foil.

Awesome vid Mark. Some good numbers even if the wind wasn’t as hoped. Looks like the drive was worth the effort.

Great to sail with you again Woody. That Manta was the perfect board for yesterdays conditions, I think we all want one now!
