Shoalwater, WA, AU    Foil gear, 2XC 6.5

Nice after work foil joined by Craig and Tom who rigged a bit further up the beach than me. After another sweltering day at work I just wanted a nice easy cruise and to get wet. Turns out I got a few PBs on the foil or at least location bests. Finaly cracked a 17 knot alpha which I know is my best yet and only had a couple of little splashes on the way round. The fully foiling gybe is getting closer. Also had some shockers one of which I caught my elbow on the boom on the way down and took a nice chunk out of it. Now oozing fresh blood into the water I decided to call it a day and left the others out there.

Peel Inlet, WA, AU  FF113/SCR7.  Out with Mike, Joe, Anita and Dan. Not quite the wind we hoped for, but good to get out anyway. Smile

Well that was heaps of fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! especially in board shorts, first time since January.

light wind and didn't take the 65cm board, so whacked the 6.6 onto the 53, and went with the 21cm@55d weedy.

Took off from Liptons car park, in a nice gust, then headed over to PT grey some very nice smooth over there, but wind didn't seem as strong as my Liptons take off gust, so I went exploring Liptons flats.

Stretch, Hardie, Crimson Flash and Anita where all sailing further upwind doing runs from the carpark to Pt Grey, got tired of sailing by myself so headed over to Pt grey. Wow what a difference, for once the gusts were exactly linning up with the smooth. A compression band off the Point was running all the way through lovely oily smooth goodness. Improved my Liptons speeds by 2 knots, that would be the nicest smoooth sailing since January.

Nice to catch up with Anita and Dan, they seemed to enjoy the light wind sail, even if it was lighter than forecast.

Here's the crayons.
