Stansbury, SA, AU N-NNW 15-40

SXs90, NP evo5, 22Fangulator weedy

No hurry to finnish work today as the tide was a late one.

Tricky was already there and held up the wind meter and saw a 44, so he packed up and went home. He called me to report this news but i was not fazed. I am a postal worker, use to frightening things.Wink

I arrived to 30-40 knots and just watched for a while. Debated in my mind whether to go out or not. It was dropping to 25-30 in patches so i rigged and headed out. The 22 Fangy was slow but super stable on the 90 F2 and it was first time with the Evo5. I love the Evo5m as it sailed through the whacks with ease. Did not do many Ks and wondered if i should go back out with a fast fin. If someone else was here i would have but super strong gusts had me sideways on the FF22 so decided not to risk it today.

Was great to get out in some proper windSmile

Hindmarsh Island, SA, AU

north side opposite currency creek.

69cm JP  7.0 R8   bad mistake way too much wind

then went to 6.2 R8 / 59cm much better but gusting to 40 knots then 20 knots

Nasty day but nice in water, went exploring for speed spot for NW . Kind of found one for local NW wind.  ONLY real spot

In the end happy with max ., nautical mile and good alpha.

better than the best day at work atleast.

FireSurprised As I was rigging I got a TXT that the power was turned off ? what the ? then a TXT saing to evacuate as a fire was headding our way. Then my daught rang with I cant get mum & she can see smoke & fire headding our way, Threw eveything back in the car & headded home its quite unnerving to not beable to contact your wife when driving home to a sky full of smoke. thankfully it jumped the main road & headded towards the coast & did NOT make it to our house. I could post my times but that would giveaway my speed for the 0ty on the way home.

Nice peak Hoppy, Cool

Yeah SAM not bad spot but boggy would be just as good I reckon,

this spot not perfect but asI get the lie of the land so to speeak and work out the shallow areas, should be more confident to push,

You and Carl would have done 40 I reckon.
