Wasnt going to post this sesh as I was so mad yesterday. Forecast for here was all over the place and with 36 degrees anything was possible. Decided to make the 1hr 45 min drive to Miena on the Great Lake. Forecast was gusting up to 29 knots. I was a bit worried going there on my own but what the heck. Sailed there once before with Dave in a similar forecast but not as windy. Should have seen the warning signs as it was blowing a gale on the way there. When I saw the fallen gumtree in the middle of the road should have turned around. Anyway got there and it looked terrible, washing machine chop and lifting off all over the place 30-40 knots. Didnt go out.....Oh well back to Hobart and went out at Mortimer in a S/SE. Looked really windy when I got there but slowly dropped off to nothing and lucky to get back in.
