Lilacs isonic 105 Tr16 7.0 PEPEsupercarbonweed 24?

We rendezvoued at 1500 hours with a forecast of wind building to 15 knots easterly at 1700. Haha thought huey.

Anyway I happily rigged and out I went.

And I had fun.

No records broken, no pbs, but several times I was planing and in the straps, I succeeded with every lightwind gybe, the sun was shining, the air warm, the scenery beautiful.

Oh, and the two windsurfers I met up with and talked to as I rigged, they buggered off Laughing

Cervantes, WA, AU    CA 92, Enduro 5.9, TWS 31

Yesterday was a nightmare for me,  the head was playing up and only managed 10km and managed to achieve last place in the GPS Comp.

Today didn't start any better and didn't think I would sail. Had a long wait for the wind to come in so I reluctantly rigged. As I rigged the wind turned and lifted in a few seconds but to strong for the 7m and112. The race was called and I didn't have enough time to get to the start. I decided to rig what is becoming my favourite,  the 5.9 Enduro on my 92. After the first race I headed up to the start. Once in the groove I ended up having a great time in the next three races.  Race 4 was super windy and the 5.4 would have been enough for me so I took it a bit easy and sailed it like I was on a fsw board. Big hats of to Pinna Kenny, he was still on a 6.2 and beat me in this race.  Top shelf matie. Talking of pinnas, no Boz maybe he couldnt work out the lock on the gate to the north. Day was rounded off with fush n chups at the lobster shack. Rocky brought some race sails off Tom and isgoing to be a weapon in the future. He has no fear and is probably saner than Ross. Tomorrow looks a bit iffy so might have to go foiling instead.

All was looking good, but it turned out thta Huey was only a Flash in the Pan mode. What started out as an excellent set of choices  ended up rigged too small, board too small and a lot of playing prawn plough. Nufin was in his element and looked to have a great session. For me the death knell sounded when the Peskys most potent secret weapon was unleashed...Remery. Sigh...

Looking forward to the next sail alreadyLaughing

Coodanup, WA, AU 7.0 and Missile 49

Unfortunately my much loved dog passed away in her sleep on friday night so I headed home from Cervantes as soon as i heard. Took Amber for a bit of a distraction sail at Novara but the wind filled in making it look like a decent session was on the cards. I rigged at the same time as the Pinnas windkilla and the usual happened.

Cervantes, WA, AU. FF89/SCR6.3. Slalom racing. I did 3 of 4 races, I still suck at this, I dropped one gybe in every race. Great day though and good to see the skill of the top guns in action Smile
