the last day of this trip at Lake George. Another adventure I could have done without.
The forecasts were saying the wind could be high 20's late in the afternoon, but in the end it was barely more than 20-22 knots. Was good fun sailing though.
Launched from the 5 mile and sailed down the lake to the Spit. I found 'Jimbobs weedburg' at the end of the Spit and had a grovel in it. Had a couple of runs behind the soit but then went back to the islands where the wind was stronger. After a couple of speed runs I had a major equipment malfuntion. I hanaged to limp back to the shore in Kevs Bay and climb the cliffs with my gear. Then started the long walk back to get the Van. Fortunately a 4WD came along when I was half way back and gave me a lift which saved a LOT of walking.
JP70 slalom, Tribal 21cm Weedspeed, 2020 KA Speed 5.7m.
I cut the walk back and drives off the file for the post but left it on the Trackmap:
