Very weird day. No wind, then thunder, then rain, then wind. Black skies in the distance. Wayne and I had a go. Only out for half an hour.

Frustrating session. Had to wait for a few thunderstorms to pass over us - we almost went home but hung in a bit longer and the wind picked up. So out we went at 3.30pm.

But it was N/NNE 18-26 knots gusty and shifty. Bad angle.....no flat water anywhere.

Simmer 2XC 7.1 JP 108 21 Delta - sail was too big for the wind, board was too big for the chop which was nasty and incessant. Fin let go in the chop.

Stopped and had a chat to Pugs and we decided it was not much fun and the wind angle was wrong, so we came in early before we did some damage to our gear or ourselves. Least we had a go.

Sounds crapola Wayne..similar at Lake Macquarie...I love the rain but the storms create havoc with the wind..Undecided
