First sail back at the local since the day trip to LG. Forecast was promising some 20-25 clipping Stansbury around midday. Arrived to low tide and had to wait an hour. Our American buddy was still here and chatted for a while as we waited for some water to cover the spit. Tricks wife made a deal with him. The deal was if he beats me today ( peak speed ) she will cook Dinner but if he looses again he will have to cook Dinner for her. I tried real hard to beat him Leanne but sorry. I think he got a 30. An unusual visitor broke the surface on the outside and it was a Seal. I sailed over to it as it was hooting along jumping and diving. Saw 3 sea lions in close to shore as i packed up. Not a bad day sailing with Tricky.
Cheers

1433 days ago 2 categories Nice cruze at the local with 3/4Hoppy Rigged the 7loft rb CA SL101 33 Gun Weedie Nice combo for the conditions 13-15 k 17 Gusts was a day of just keep on the plan & all was good. Feet started to get a bit cool & the wind was dropping fast, so headded in nearly made it in but had to swim the last 20m was a cold way to finnish a Bunta session

1433 days ago MOUTH of murray,
9.4 R8 JP super light , 64 cm fin
early wind 10 to 15 knots blew in as I left ! bugger, SOOO smooth and clear , love this place, speed course was sweet
but again with 64cm fin only push 29 knots max.
Matt came for a sail , but 105L board with 6.5 was not quite enough. great to have another sailor learning the "murray mouth way"

1432 days ago el bog. cold ole day. It was mostly south and hard to find a solid gust today. Was softer than forecast, but a lot of keen sailors there.
Chris D took pity and shouted his 7.8 for the session while he went out on 9.4.
I plugged it into the i97 + BPR375 and had some fun, but also some glug.
So: big gear and hard work. But every autumnal sail is a gift! Happy to be sailing.

Good turnout with a good forecast that never really eventuated. Early start and no wind so caught up around the fire and Chris D taught me how to fly a kite - a normal one not the darkside kind - cheers mate.
Went out on the big kit and had a great sesh in light wind planning almost all the time till the last glug in.
Good to catch up with everyone - even Josef made an appearance for a change.

Was fun in the gusts to be cruising on the big gear but spent most of the time glugging. I think I need to invest in a 490 mast and a 8meter + sail.
