Another unexpected pleasure. 7-13-14 knots of SE . Just perfect and as a bonus it wasn't as cold as expected today. Out with Mike and Bruce ..l have used the 7m foiglide with the 1000 wing on the 115+ fuselage that gave me huge lot of power that l had to get used to.

Had a good time.

2 categories

Coal Point, NSW, AU, Southerly 12-20+

Stingray, whisperer and 5.5m

Finally a little bit of sunshine. Nice quiet lake mostly to myself, saw 3 kayakers, 2 tea baggers, 1 foiler (Tony) and 1 Slapper (guess who?)

Finally cracked the 20 kt NM (and yes it was in the choppiest part of the lake), which I have been thinking about, but not really trying to do for a while.

Also my second ever perfectly clean gybe.

10-23kts SSE Coal Point, NSW, AU

 6.6m KA Koncept- WT64 ( 112ltres) - 33 Select pointer then 33 makani weedy

Rigged the 6.6m then it kicked in and looked 20-25kts..Frown..a bit worried about going out but it settled . Hardwork at first 10kts and out of the straps then big full on patches, holding on for grim death! Tiring..Frown

By the time Andrew came out it had settled into a bit more consistency.

Some full on gusts over near the channel Surprised  I would have been better on the 85ltre but it was too patchy. I went for some great runs a bit off the breeze with the board scuttling over the top of the chop..I'm not used to a board flying over the chop . The RS4 with me on it generally ploughed through..Undecided

I was a bit nervous in some of the gusts as I thought maybe the wind would get under the kit but everything was well behaved..

Still getting comfortable with the wider stance . It's hard to set the harness lines when one second your grovelling and the next overpowered.Undecided

The first megagust I was wishing the sail wasn't bagged out , the harness lines were further back and I had a weedy on as I slid sideways.. I had my hands too full surviving to make any adjustments..Laughing

That's a good speed for me in the middle , especially on a big board..Cool and a good nm..Smile.. It could have been better if I hadn't gone upwind for the first bit..Undecided

Andrew , later Tony and I had to dodge a kayak out in the middle. He didn't even hear the board coming till I was 50m away..Undecided

Both pics taken when there wasn't much wind..Heading out ..there was  good wind near the channel later

After I finished. It had died down but the foilers were still going well. The water level is up and there was a bit of floating debris.
