I didn't expect to get planing so that was better than expected! Started out very patchy. It looked better above the point but it took me a long time to get up there as it was so patchy and I was headed at both ends..Once heading to carey it was not bad. The best wind was up in that bay and I had a fairly consistent 10-13kts for a fun reach across and back. Not enough to get in the back straps much..
Not much at the sand islands or caravan park. After 1.30hrs odd there started to get a few ok patches of 10-14kts and I had some more powered fun sailing across to Carey and back ..
I've got some tips from Niel about how to gybe the boards and put them into practise today. Although they were all subplaning gybes the tips did make a difference! Looking forward to seeing the difference more powered up.
Just Andrew & I then later Glynn and Lajos. Andrew and Glynn were flying..Very pleasant. It was a lovely sunny afternoon and the lake was pretty flat (due to not much wind)...
