Coal Point, NSW, AU, NE 10-17

JP177, 800.115.255 then 800.95.255, 8.0 loft

At last a nice warm consistent NE. Well powered cruise, a little over done at times.

Patchy 5-12kts ESE - E then patchy 10-14kts E Coal Point, NSW, AU

7.5m GT Turbo- WT64 ( 112ltres) - 35cm tectonics weedy

I didn't expect to get planing so that was better than expected! Started out very patchy. It looked better above the point but it took me a long time to get up there as it was so patchy and I was headed at both ends..Once heading to carey it was not bad. The best wind was up in that bay and I had a fairly consistent 10-13kts for a fun reach across and back. Not enough to get in the back straps much..

Not much at the sand islands or caravan park. After 1.30hrs odd there started to get a few ok patches of 10-14kts and I had some more powered fun sailing across to Carey and back ..Tongue out

I've got some tips from Niel about how to gybe the boards and put them into practise today. Although they were all subplaning gybes the tips did make a difference! Surprised Looking forward to seeing the difference more powered up.

Just Andrew & I then later Glynn and Lajos. Andrew and Glynn were flying..Very pleasant. It was a lovely sunny afternoon and the lake was pretty flat (due to not much wind)...

Great spot with huge runs easy to loose track of Andrew who kept disappearing over the horizon  and around into other bays. Bit tricky launching from the beach in a wind shadow  behind the point so might try Swansea  during  my stay. Camping  at Budgewio so hope to catchup with so more .

Thanks Sue, Lajos and Andrew  for sharing  your local spot
