Melville Beach, WA, AU    Local trees seemed to be indicating a nice seabreeze so headed down to find Flatchat rigging down Reg heading off in disgust.  Thanks Reg, wind came in a bit and the one other slapper out seemed to be planning ok so rigged up.  Was planning to test a new concept with the DIY GPS but the other sailor out turned out to be Scotish Pete who came in for a tech issue just as I was about to launch...boy that guy can talk....suffice to say I missed some of the wind and also forgot about what I was testing in my effort to escape.   Got a few nice laps in and cleared the sand bar but if not planning hit sandbar.   Final good run was fanging along nicely but the fin dredged for 50m or so and gradually came to a halt.   Was determined to go much further north on subsequent runs to clear sand bar but never got going again so gave up.   Only Pete and a wing foiler for company and very pleasant in the sun.  Same stuff as yesterday.
