Melville Beach.   Headed out as: 1) The tree was indicating sailable wind, 2) To enjoy the last few days of autumn sunshine and warmth before putting on the winter wetsuit, 3) To test the new fancy DIY GPS software from Jan and Simon (Freezer).    Made the mistake of finishing what I was doing so missed the best of the wind.  Nobody out, none, zero, no wingdingers, no sup's, no kayaks...really weird on a weekend in a city...is everyone hanging out with their mums?  Got planing twice but the new software tells the tale I had missed the best of the wind yet again.   Truly glorious weather, just shoula gone out 1 hr earlier.    Usual big gear but like Jay, seriously considering next sail up to get through these doldrum months.
