Captain skip bogan (50090km):
682 days ago Boggy lake - 10 to 25 knots.
Good turnout for a miserable wet and cold day. Forecast was really good for the arvo so rigged 6.3 for then fronts and took out the big board for float with gusty conditions. A rain front come across so took off and got planing with a 30 knot odd peak. Headed back and a decent gust picked the board up and out the water - managed to save it and then found some weed so had to bail to remove weed.
Went in and grabbed the Patrik 87 to try and catch the end of the front and one half planning run i was left with a hard slog back to shore.
The wind dropped out even the guys on 7.8's were struggling. I thought of a re-rig but another front came thru so got on it this time with big board and put the atomic 28 weed weapon in the Patrik 115 - worked well almost a little small but managed a few powered runs some down past the launch and headed as high as i could and left with a couple of run glug back to shore in no wind.
Typical gusty westerley and very cold not even 10 degreees and less when packing up - fingers were stinging at the end of the sesh.
Patrik 115 / Patrik 87 / loft blade 6.3 / Atomic weapon 36 / Atomic weed weapon 28 / Black project R32.5.
