Big turn out for a not so big day. Winds were reasonably consistent from 11am to 2pm with some big windshifts but otherwise good runs out to Majestic pt. Good to see some old faces starting to come out of hibernation.

Road trip to the MOBs second chapter, no one to be seen when I arrived, didn't take long Mike Slugger and Ratz (Hope your foots okay) to arrive, while they were gas bagging thought I would put in a quick 30 minuts, started with the 58 Manta, had to upscale to the 71 Manta as the wind had backed off a bit. Ended up on the 61 Manta to finish off the sesion, great sailing with Slugger Ratz and Mike, who was going like a trooper all day, don't know how he does it hopefully I'll be able to put in the k's like Mike does when I get to his age.

Sneaked in a late sail at the local, Awsome way to finish the weekend. I tested a Patrik FRace 100, it was super easy to sail and felt realy quick.

Thanks Steve

FRace 100; Tribal 34; OD 7.0 All felt spot on

Pretty powered in the gusts and wind was a decent direction allowing for long runs to majestic point. Good to see Tim, Hardpole, Jase, JJ out having fun. Also good to see Lao Shi back in town.

Melville - nice little putt about, took a while to remember what to do and how to fit all those bits together. A couple of falls woke me up.

Great to catch up with everyone, and nice to get wet again.

Great suff Boz! A very well eared PB and jellybean! Pinnaroos #1!

Thanks to Hooksey and Windtech for backup, and congrats Windtech, on your alpha PB. In my experience those are the hardest to score.

Can't agree more Neil, but when I look you all youngsters in your mob, I worry that everyone will die of malnutrion from a lack of jelly beans once I am there and a complete collapse of team spirit when I start my own special brand of motivational messages...

Full points for dedication Boz. First the early morning, secondly the long drive and of course 185k's with wet feet.

Well done Neil and Hooksey for the PB's and a great effort to the whole team for putting us into first place in less than ideal conditions.

Welcome back, Jeff!

Boz, what is the weedburg situation in the Leschenault Estuary?

Boz

WA
Australia
1985 days ago

Anita, weedburg not an issue, was running a 28 45deg for the first part of the session when the tide was up going through them with just slight tug on the fin, had to gybe at speed outherwise you would pick up weed in the shallows, changed to a 24 45 deg mainly due to tide going out and the 28 hitting the bottom, was quite shallow visible weed on top of surface but no issues cutting through as long as you had your speed up. No way as bad as coods, with the 45 deg were I went over the handle bars, I can see now westerly works best at Australind, SW distance runs takes you out more into the confused chop where I had to play for the last 2 hours.

It took a while for the numbers to be posted (did sailing exhaust you that much?) but welcome back, Snake! Some decent numbers for a first up session too.

I hope you enjoyed getting out on the water again.

We look forward to your company over the summer.
