Unknown Location Bogan (10887km): Boggy Lake, SA, AU: el Bog turned me back into an intermediate sailor today. JP SS109, Patrik SlalomII 92, Ezzy 5.5 Cheetah. Big turn out. Nice to see Shane Trousers after a very long time. https://www.ka72.com/Track/t/381662
Captain skip bogan (50090km): Boggy Lake, SA, AU - 13 to 18 knots. Arrived late morning and looked windy. Rigged the 87 and 6.3 for the forecast and after a big front had gone past the wind dropped. Decided to rig the 7.1 snd big board and headed out. Ended up the perfect size and spent a couple of hours cruising up the top with Sam - had a ball. Good turnout for a winter type day. Patrik 115 / 7.1m gun sails GSR / Black Project R375.

mikewho (2720km): Boggy Lake, SA, AU. criusey afternoon, 14 sailoors out, wintery light breeze 113hawk 7.4loft 40fin, missed the sqall, on the bank shivering with cup of tea, next time the 4-3 wetty.
Trousers (14352km): Got to sail bog, but my gps battery was cactus, so no numbers. The first taste of the winter to come; cold enough for a fire and a very up-down SWer front. Despite that, a big turnout; great to reconnect with the boggy faithful. Most rigged more than once, me three times over the five hours I was at bog. - hard to get it right. One of the first on the water, I took the OD-7.0, the i97 and a BPR325. I thought I had the BRP375 but messed up in all that rigging. On paper that's underfinned for a 7.0m but surprisingly little spin out. Pointing was not too bad, but I had plenty of power. I came in after about forty minutes - some of the gusts/chop were getting a handful and I was slipping from enjoying it to surviving it. Hearing the big boys were on their 7s that justified a downsize to the 6.2. Prolly about another half hour then called it.

Full Bogan (42931km): Had a great day. Tested out a new board from Leon. Worked great on all aspects. 114 Falcon with 7m sail evo something 😁😁 Great to catch up with all. Had some great runs with Carl and casey also had a good catchup over a port and fire.
Great day at big. Very cold wind but loved every minute 😁 |
