Waves, Cape Hatteras, NC. Freestyle session in 30 mph wind. Skate 90, Idol 4.0. Used the GPS only in the afternoon.

Wave, NC. Forecast was 20 mph in the morning, dropping to 15 in the afternoon. We got 23 mph going up to 30 and staying there instead. Not that I am complaining - we planed 5 out of 5 days, and next week will be even windier!

Did freestyle (and most of the distance) for 2 hours in the morning, until the 5.6 was getting too big. Decided to switch to speed in the afternoon, even though the wind had turned from NNE to NNW, which means deeper water and more chop. First runs were on RB 6.3, but I had no control over the speedboard in the chop, so switched to 5.6. Still plenty of power but more control, runs were near 30 knots instead of 25 now. Finally found a flatter section for a 32-knot run - almost 2 knots faster than my previous best in Hatteras, 5th-fastest ever, most faster sessions were in flat water. Pretty happy about that.
