110l x-cite, 32cm lessacher weedie, 7.0m tush lightning, Started out well with some good gusts coming through, then around 3.00pm it started to fill in nicely. Brought out the 6.0m v6 and the 92l fsw with the remodelled 31jp weedie. Started to honk and lost interest in gybing, just great to sail without slogging. Managed to get myself some distance which felt great, though I think I'm going to pay for it. Cool

Lechenault Inlet WSW 20-25knts then 15-20 crap southerly

F2 missile, RSSMKII 5.4m, Choco Mach1 28cm

Rigged in good strong wind. Tide was very high so there was big knee high chop on the runs. The missile just flies over chop feeling very safe. used one of Elmos choco speed fins. mmmmmmmmmm might not give this one back.

Got three runs in and the wind died and swung southerly. Could have re rigged but after fanging on the missile lost interest

RSS5.8Cool JP265 Maisch 30 weedy

First sail for 3 weeks after rib damage. Sturggled initially as as underpowered then when trying to get back up wind the wind picked up. Really stuggled to go up wind when powered on RS slalom. Need towork on technique. radicaly different sail from those I hav been using.

Got lost and went behind islandEmbarassed see on GESurprised

Promising sail, will try on new (to me) W52 Starboard sonic next time outSmile

I found strange today the wind, really gusty SW, quite strong but gusts not long enough to do great speed mmh, very choppy too Undecided

Took the big girl for spin where usualy would take the CA50..managed a 33.52 outside the run, went to play for an hour to test, alpha training, etc.. best Hour, NM, and alpha on the iSo 86

Then used the CA50 for some speed runs, did 33.80.. could not go home with this so went back to shore ajusted the sail, put a a 24... 35.84 mmh that's better Smile... best speed on the CA50

Happy with the hour... I was not even trying!

eh Bender sorry for taking your position... you was on the top for an hour Tongue out

I used the Mach1 28 also today on the iSo, it felt very good, easy upwind, easy gybe too even in chops I found! you should get one for your missile Wink. I love the 26 on the CA50 and would not mind a 24 for the 44

Yes sam. Elmo has lent me some fins to try out on the Missile. Mach1's 26,28 and 30. Today i used the 28 due to it being very choppy. It handled the chop way better than my 26techf1. I hope to try the mach and F1 side by side and see whats faster. I really like the 28. It feels like a good step down from my F1 32cm. Today was the first time on the missile and the 5.4m. This combo will go very quick i think.

Le Sam...nice speeds mate. Good to meet you at Melville Sunday during the fin discussion with Nelson...picked up a few ideas!

Certainly a better breeze today than the crap yesterday....

yes Bendy would be very interesting to know they look similar no?! why spend the big dols when you can have as good for cheaper.. Also the 28 was made for the missile I think! I recon you should use the 26 with your 5.4 in a solid breeze... that would rocket very nicely I think Wink. Hopefuly tomorrow  u may have a chance..

Nauli, nice to meet you too Wink, let me know how you go with your ideas! I am interested..

Thanks for the offer of tuning help Sam, that woul be great. I suspect one part may be to go to an adjustable outhaul. Would a flatter sail be better for going closer to the wind?Undecided

Bender

Steve with a flatter sail there is less side ways pull from the sail. This makes going up wind heeeeps easier. Adjustable outhaul IMHO is the way to go. The big (bagged out) sail you want to go off the breeze can be flattened allowing one to go upwind with  some amount of control.

Thanks Ben, I am convinced. Now need new end for Hydro boom and an adj outhaul kitCool.

Hey Decrepit, can the Aeron be easily adapted to adj outhaul?
