Fangy's on the QEII. Maui 5.8 and Delta. Wamba St was not so wild that a good time could not be had. Just not by me. I was still trying to protect my elbow as much as possible and the wild wind just didnt not make that possible. So had to call it a day very early. Decrepit and Fin headed off into the Creery lagoon with Tomski and Rod. I am looking forward to seeing their posts, could be some epic speeds on offer if the holes in the cheese align for them.

Another fantastic lagoon blast, decided to go in early-ish incase the water came over the bar. Wind wasn't nuking at the time so went with the 5.0 on the 43, and after slowy's effort last time we where there, decided to give my old assy 19.5 woody weedy a go.

And Fangy's wish came true, got some nice holes in the cheese on one run in particular. Hooked on to a nice big gust as I went into the run, just after a bit of a lull, so I had flatish water and plenty of wind, that was my 38, all the rest of my good runs were 36s.

Very glad to see Tomski and Rod there, just the Fin and I would have been a bit lonely.

We all ended up very happy campers, Rod got a clutch of 38s, (after I told him I had one!). And if Pas's Gps hasn't introduced more spikes, he's got a massive PB.

My 2s and 5x10 are both in my top 5, best I've ever done north of Albany.

Seabreeze shows wind WNW, a bit too broad, that's why we had the following chop, and why we ran out of sail pressure in the lulls. So not quite ideal, but still a whole lot of fun, and still very fast for the speed sailor who can handle a bit of chop.

lagoon tracks 8 sept

Very interesting my best speeds are away from the bank where there was a bit more wind, when I tried to get into smoother water I went slower.

A lesson to be learned here.

Avalon sail 4.7m,  Decrepit 48board,  18cm Decrepit speedweed,

What a day, yeeeehaaaa !!! . The wind was a bit gusty, abit variable but plenty speedy. The water a bit choppy.

And no strange spikes weard stuf in the GPS data today, a good thing.

OK Fangman, you can breath now, here are my numbers, not too bad, I had a peek speed of 36.9kt, that =68.34km and did it seem fast!!!

I gota thank Decrepit for lending me sume gear, so thanks again.

** So an edid onthe 5x10 from the 33kt to 31.86. Affter a re chek. So sorry, I'm red faced, my mistake on the avriges.   Embarassed

Oh Yes,  much better than the last effort in the  lagoona.         Tongue out   .

FANTASTIC lads, well done. I have been sitting here listening to the trees outside go ballistic all day wondering how you were getting on. Stoked for you both!!!Laughing I reckon there should be a good jump up the ladder on the back of your efforts.

Mike - super speeds, top stuff Cool. Agree that often a little chop is faster.

Wasn't sure that anyone would be there today so settled for SB.

Fin - congrats on the PBs - not often I see a 6 knot jump, well done Laughing

Thanks Guys, always nice to get a home turf PB.

Expect more from the fin in future, he was still getting used to the 48cm board and Avi 4.7 I loaned him, and he went faster on it than I have!

Hey Snags,  I dont have the experience or dedication to the craft of 'ambidextrous chook feeding' that you do, so its no real surprise that my left side has withered a little.Embarassed

Decrep - I am still stoked about you two yesterday, just imagine what you could do if you actually did some practise! Laughing

How'd you know I have chooks at home as I don't recall mentioning it.   Feed them everyday too! Wink

Thanks for sending a selfie too - That elbow of yours does look withered indeed

I just went down to have a look at the foreshore after the blow. It looks like the Bay of Isles. There are these big islands of weed dotted about the whole area. They are substantial and I reckon would stop anything. At the moment they are easy to avoid as they are at least 20cms in height above the waterline, however if anyone is heading down over the next few weeks it might pay to see if they are still lurking before charging out.
