Ka Koncept 6.2, sonic 85L + FF20 later Loft Switchblade 6.8, JP 102L + FF22

Had hoped to have another go at an hour with a bit of company. Looked promising early & I had the standard kit ready to go when Stretch turned up, really I should have rigged the big kit then & there Wink

Stroppo, Woody & Shane were all out blasting around when Steve & I launched. We made our way up to the top of the NM wherby the wind promptly died. In a strange conincidence this was about the same time as Stretch hit the water...

Managed to sort of sail/grovel my way back, feel for Steve who was only on a 75L board Frown Changed to the large kit & was able to get on the plane most of the time. Highlight was doing runs through the glass, just had to be careful on the gybes as the 22 was getting some big tugs, as my shin can attest to!

In the end the conditions didn't quite play ball but it was still good to be out on a sunny afternoon with a good bunch of fellas Cool Cool Cool

EDIT: Prettty happy with the Alpha given the speeds today.

Obsessiveness, Irrationality, FOMO: GPSTC makes you do dumb stuff Embarassed, but I wouldnt have it any other way Smile

Got up late for breakfast at home in Dardanup, browsing on my Ipad over coffee and saw Mort's cracking hour (Fri) and that Strop and Woody were heading down first thing Sat.  Checked the forecast, not really that epic, but maybe they know something I dont?? Undecided

She who must be obeyed gives approval, so 20min later I'm on the road for a 3.5hr drive to Albany, got there at 1:30pm to see white caps in the harbour!! excitment levels rising!! Get to the launching area, the buzz is good, rig up and go out - not too bad, a bit underdone, but forecast is to pick up a bit more yet. Never happened, a bit disappointing but a sail was had and it was good to catch up with the Albany boys, Strop and Woody, who incidentally seems to be able plane with no discernable wind?

Mike, i don't think we need to worry about Frank. Steve and Stretch are a potent team of wind drought inducers. Unfortunately Morts and Shane will be casualties, but I am sure they will take one for the team.Laughing
