Paradise Beach, NSW, AU

Patrik 100 / R8 OD 7.0 / Tribal Delta 18

One of the best days I've had off Paradise Beach. Glad I tried the 18 delta with the 100/7.0 combo as it worked (believe it or not).

Great warm westerly that wasn't too insane. Out with Liam, Brenden, Matt C, Pete Z, Troll and Pete B (with kite).

This April weather is amazing, nice warm sunny westerly for us at primbee today, Tezza even in his boardies. Was having trouble deciding what to rig, there was sails ranging from 7's to 4.7's already rigged, then lucky the wind god Feilian arrived and advised me not to go smaller than a 6.2 - was a bit nervous as there was some big gusts coming across the lake, but it ended up being a good choice, plenty of power in the gusts and got the small board up and running.

6.2/ca 44w - still no gybes on this board, stalling on sail flip

I was going to ask you the biggest combo you'd tried the 18cm with..Im thinking of getting one for the 87ltre iso and 7m. How big was the chop and how did it go ? Did you have to Molly coddle it so it didn't let go ?

Ps - great tracks!

Sue it was really good. Only let go when I was pushing upwind without much pressure on the fin. As usual of course, it was a quick flick to get it back on track. After a few runs I was pretty much comfortable with it. The chop makes no difference with the Tribal Deltas. The 18cm is as comfortable in the chop as it is in the flat water.

Not sure if I would use the fin with anything bigger than the 100 / 7.0 Laughing

Yeah Sue I must say that it's ideally suited to the 87 / 6.2 or 5.7. Bloody impressed with it regardless!
