Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU

First few runs were nice but then wind died and made it hard to get back shore, cold but sunny nice to be out on the water!

CA 117, GSR 7.1 and 20 then 18cm delta it is now shallow and flat!

Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU late session 2pm with the arvo crew, already a few early starters out looking sweet - Matty, Micky, Johnny, Hughy, Rusty, Frothy, then Brucey, Tibby and me. The early birds got the best of it today, a bit light on for the gear I chose but bloody flat and shallow on the banks today, SW 15 knots.

Had to walk it a few times when I hit bottom during gybes. Followed Brucey in one run and had to walk it for a couple of hundred metres. So did Bruce, He blamed me, I blamed him. LOL.

6.0 GPS + CA SL55 + 19cm Delta. Dropped right off later on so we called it a day. Tibby has to learn how to water start, one day.......

Sailing Club, Wallis Lake, NSW, AU

Good to be sailing again.Had a short session with Bill and Rob. Starting to get pretty cold in. We got a WSW wind at 15-25k on average.

There was a favourable tide, but started to get a bit shallow towards the end. Gusty as usual, and the wind shifted to the SSW at the end as we were coming back. 93, 10.5, 6.2 Rob smashed out a great speed on that new 5.5 sail. Well done Rob.

Ha, its painful watching him locked into the dead lift of the uphaul for what looks like about 5mins............

But his super tough, so no probs

Yeah he had me worried for a minute there with the straining and grunting using the uphaul but he finally did it, maybe waterstarts are not that easy to master?? But you are never too old to learn a new trick...

You know with the waterstart, it takes a little energy to learn, some treading of water for a length of time when learning, but in the long run, the water start becomes way easier than uphauling

I havent sailed with an uphaul for yrs, the only time it gets a little tricky is when its super light, then you have to get the sail to lay across the back of the board, then hop on and uphaul the rig by using the mast

Honourable mention: Frothie drawing some great lines today man, well done, looked good

Yep and he can't water start for peanuts...something to do with being afraid of dangling legs in sharky water.....maybe.
