IYC Launch, tried my new second hand NCX 6.5 was overpowered and getting smashed in the chop with the big board and the wind was building called it a day. I had no smaller sail or board and to top it off, when derigging on the grassed area a big gust caught the board and the sail. Now i have a sail with a hole the same size as my fin.

Windy and Choppy today. Spent most of my time down near the ramp out in the chop on my slalom kit. Tried a few runs up in the weed beds on my speed board but it wasn't working for me up there. Much better wind out in the middle.

First to take the water for the Illawarra Speedsters Lake George 2018 Campaign.
Session 1 - Starboard Freeformula 158, MUF Delta XT 26, Ezzy Infinity 9.5. I'm sure I fooled a few people into getting on the water a little too early with this ridiculous combo, but it was great fun.
Sessions 2 - Fanatic Falcon 104l, MUF Delta XT 22, Gaastra Matrix 7.5 RAF. Tried for an hour on this combo.

Session 3 - Mistral Speed 95l, BP Weed Speed 25, Gaastra Matrix 7.5 RAF. Finished the day on this - great to get some time on the water with the Mistral.
Very tired, very happy. Congrats to all the PB getters today.

This place is crazy, just got a taste of the potential today. Started out a bit on the light side for the 7.1 but then filled in nicely. We'll all sleep well tonight.
Naish SP95, Gun GSR 7.1, BP Weedspeed 26/50 then UFO 26/50. The UFO was so much better in all respects. Happy days meeting lots of new people.
