iS122, CRed 7.7, 46 C3 Venom, Yeppoon, Wind 11 - 19knots

Couldn't rig the 8.8 as I haven't got a replacement boom yet - this was a god send at the end of the day as the wind kicked in towards the end of my first hour and I had a blast.  Probably one of the more enjoyable sails I've had in a while and didn't come off at all.  I was quite surprised just how well the venom went towards the end when the wind got up to 20 knots.  I fully understand when you guys talk about a fin being "rock solid".  Even though the water was pretty messed up I was able to weave my way through it to get some half decent runs.

I also broke my 1 hour PB for up here. Smile

Wello sailing with some of the other mobbers. Wind was a bit too weak for me, though I was planing allright in the end, but dredging a lot for the first half. May be 7 to 13 knots. Falcon 111, Stealth 7.6, and a 39 cm fin ( forgotten the type). Ended up having almost smooth gypes, but needed more wind to plane through. I hope the wind turns up for the comp tomorrow.

dragged for a while there, could have done with an 8.5

7.8 switchblade, IS122, 46cm venom (managed to scrape it on reef and was lucky not to wrench it off)

Minor damage nothing unusual.

hope the racing is better tomorrow for everybody.

Well Done Sausage-nice Hr for those mushed up conditions!!Have to get one of those big venoms !!

Still cant work out what did the damage to my rig-was a heavy clunk followed by cavitation followed by crash .

Crack in board adjacent to fin windward side & strange white scratchings on base of fin on same side ??

Hope you get some wind tomorrowSmile

Cam,

You sure those marks on the base of your fin aren't great white scratchings Wink

PS - you don't need a venom with the speeds you punch out regularly.
