Boy, did I pick the wrong gear today. Went back to Goodwood Is launch, but this time the wind was a southerly. It works much better in this direction, thougn I think next time I'll sail the elbow just up river, it looked less gusty with longer runs.

Wind was 7-15 when  I got there, the forecast was poor, so I rigged big. 15 minutes later and it was 20-25 knots, the chop was savage (incoming tide), I was running a long way upwind just to keep things under control, and I wasn't having that much fun - well maybe I was having fun, it was just damn hard work. Took nearly an hour to get back to the launch, by which time I was buggered and the gusts were getting closer to 30 knots (but the lulls were still sub 10!). Thought about rigging B'n'J, but was just too stuffed, best to go home for a cuppa.

Nearly planed out of a couple of gybes though, just too late flipping the rig. That made it more than worthwhile - one day soon!!!

Ram 7.8 (needed the 5.4 duke), falcon 124 (needed the 106), SL44 (um, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to big ;-D)
