Nice session at Woodies - first time on the speed strip. Everything felt sweet but just couldn't crack 30, probably not carrying enough speed into the bear away. Good to see Pointman the Pinna's Poet and lao shi out there as well as few SRMers.

Futura 93, OD 6.5, FO34

Fun sesh at Woodies with some Pinnas and SRM.

Solid 20 -25K, prolly gusting over 25K toward the end.

7.0 TR-5 + Futura 111 + 40 Talon for a few squirts before that was too big.

Then the 7.0 + 93 S-Type + 34 Talon for a while.  Maxed out that combo around 33K and decided to try the speed board (CA47 + 30 Venom).

Best speeds on the last run of the day.  Felt like there was more to come, but after wrestling the 7.0 for a couple of hours I was spent.  Probably could've change down to the 5.8 at the end, but the 7.0 actually felt pretty good. It was the first time I've used it with the speed board today and it felt reasonably balanced.

Good to see Slowy back amongst it, and the mysterious Dr Langer sporting some sexy new kit. Kiss

Arrived at Woodies to see Macka rigging. Part rigged the 5.8 before Ado came in and offered to let me try the Warp 6.3.

Very different feel to the '07 koncept (Dr Matt said that is because it is a real sail!). Felt heavier (but it is bigger) but very stable and with the longer boom feels to have power low down. Certainly far more ruggedly built than the koncept.

Followed Ado out in to horrendous chop and rarely felt comfortable. Ado, Dr Matt and Slowy all tearing it up. When Ado left I rigged the 5.8 koncept and changed from a pointer to the weedy on the JP84. Felt much better (what I am used to). Speed topped out at 34.85 display. After a while saw Pointman come out on the CA47 and thought I had better get the nonose out.

Kept bashing away at the run but couldn't get past 36. Some rolling chop in the flat spot made it hard to get in at speed.

Well done, Pointman. That run must have been towards the end. Just as well you didn't call it quits earlier.

Not enough to better our numbers unfortunately and the TSS are getting closer but a great afternoon never the less.

North warp 6.3, JPslalom II 84, 30cm pointer, 5.8 koncept, JPslalom II 84, 29cm elmo weedy, 5.8 koncept, *brd nonose, 24cm choco mach1.

180 minutes travel time, 3 hours 36 minutes elapsed.

Koncept 5.8, sonic 95 Lancelin bay.

Never really enough wind, very cloudy. Gusty, so enough for half a run and then it would drop out.
