5987 days ago Quick after work session at semaphore beach. Arrived to a dying breeze as i rigged the 5.8m koncept. Wet from saturday so took it out anyway. The wind was 10 - 15 at the most as i glugged down wind. The wind gradually built and i managed to work my way back up the beach and the wind filled in to approx 12 - 17 knots. Had some nice air time off the back of the chop and cruised powered up for about 15 mins just cruising back and forth. On the last run i went out over 1km powered and the wind died to almost nothing - no-one else out the back and no uphaul if i fell in . Luckily i keep the rig out the water and managed to get a gust back to shore. Mental note use the 6.6 or 7.3 if marginal and get a weed fin - the weed is a pain the arse after a windy weekend.
Semaphore beach - 12 - 17 knots sw.
