| lao shi (41082km): What a start to the month! Only a short while ago this would have been an epic session with a PB for the JP twice in the session. Now it was fun but not charging. Scariest part of the day was when the fin let go at just under 38 and I slowed to 19 knots in 4 seconds going sideways before it gripped again. A real save because it was going to be ugly! Took about 10 mins of swimming and slogging to get to the wind from Mosman Park side but as I have found afternoon traffic across the freo bridge is a pain in the arse. Got most of the way back before a bit of a swim. Slowy was going ridiculously fast as usual. Yoyo was getting some good runs and Snides was getting the Cheese graters (Perth branch) experience. Wish the crowds had experienced today with 0-25 knots and gust chasing being the order of the day. They would have thought twice about coming back! Had the downhaul on the 5.7 warp back at the usual position. Much better. Should have let it off more yesterday! JP 84 slalom II, warp 5.7, banshee 24cm. | ||||||||||||||||||

Chris Porter (11725km): ![]() Melville...just for a change. Was quite choppy and the wind was very gusty. Also the it was barely deep enough to sail across the sand bank. All in all a dangerous session. Had one spin out at 33 knots which ended ugly. I managed to separate from my gear before impact, but still managed to crank my neck over during the bouncing cartwheel. Forced myself to do a few more runs (back on the horse). Fairly unlucky day, so flagged it pretty early as I felt like I was pushing my luck. Fairly happy with the speeds given the conditions. Glad to snatch the last of the wind for a while. CA SP47; F8 Ram 5.4; FO Weedster 260
Jeff (14555km): ![]() 4.2m, Kombat 79l - excellent Mettams to Sorrento. Crowds all gone home and the wind perfect for a 4.2 - just a lazy cruise compared to yesterday. Great fun gybing the little sail.
