My first time in Elwood, at around 20knts southerly. I really like the spot, met Bondy and Evan also. Had a good hour of solid runs, even a few good gybes and a massive stack. Was bearing away to accelerate more (over confident) and the nose got stuck right into a wave....spectacular exit, no damage thank goodness, just a stiff neck. My favourite rig again:

Mmmmm, for some reason my GT-31 (latest firmware) doesn't display my max speed for the session. Most likely user error... anyway, results from .gpx file put my 2 sec Peak at more than was displayed on the GT-31 during todays session. Quite happy with this as it was quite choppy at Elwood. 20 knot southerly. Good session and really liking the new C3 Venom on the Futura. Didn't realise JAK & Bondy were also sailing until I was packing up.

6.5m Ezzy freeride.

Sounds like it was a great afternoon again, 25 kts feels pretty quick on the bay dosn't it !

Great afternoon. Started to drop off a bit around 6pm I think but still plenty. Felt perfectly powered on my 6.5m sail. I was surprised the gps was only showing 23's and low 24's as it felt a few knots faster. I awe of those guys that do 28-30 plus in those conditions on the bay! But very pleased to see a 25 when I got home.

Great work Evan and a welcome surprise to see more than expected I suppose. As mentioned yesterday, this happened with my GT-31 also before I turned the Speed Genie on. It must move to the next session when you have a break or so and refreshes the max speed for the new session. I even found it often moves to the next session when I fall off or stack it and it takes a while to sort the kit out before hopping on again. With Speed Genie turned on my display alternates every few seconds between the current session's max speed, avg speed and a screen that displays the history max and history avg, I delete the history data after saving the day to the computer, but latest before I go out again. I'm still figuring out my GPS though, may be there are some other tweaks.

And yes, 25knts feels V E R Y fast on the bay in particular in chop.

Juergen, like you I'm still trying to figure out my gps. I do however have my Speed Genie set to 23 knots so it was on. But for reasons I'm un-sure of it doesn't display my Max speed for the session (or it does but refreshes it very quickly). I can however go into the trip meter and see it there but that's not easy to do when it's in the Paqua. Most likely it's something quite obvious that I'm over looking in the settings..... will work it out eventually.

Good sail yesterday. Now that I know you used your Hellcat I do recall seeing you on the water!

Hi Evan, Perhaps we should crack open a beer one time and go through the settings bit by bit and compare. Have never tried the trip meter, see I still figure it out
