Short fun session out here with Dot & Steve, cleared the cobwebs nicely.

Steve was having trouble finding the gap in the reef, so I showed him how to hit the edge of it.

Sam called me a bit after 4 and said the wind was in at his place, I stuck my head outside and at my place there was nothing at all, so I hooked up the trailer and went down to investigate only to find a pleasent seabreeze blowing.

Rigged 7.8 RS Slalom III on my Aircraft carrier with my as yet untested MFC 46cm weedy and had a blast, chased sam around for a bit until he crossed the penguin island spit and dissappeared down into shoalwater, i could not be bothered walking my fin over so kept plodding around on the southern side of the spit. Before making the run back to the pond in a fading breeze.

Will keep the 46 weedy for use with my 8.5 in future and just use the 40 choco with the 7.8, having a footstrap moving session tomorrow morning, the SP44, carrier and iso all need straps repositioned.

Bender I went  down there at about 230 to check conditions and it was whitecapping from the east but boaties coming in were saying it was SW about 2 k's out, so I went home, luckily I was only halfway through my first beer when sam called

You should do the trip up one day

When we started lunch about 1300, Dot said, "breeze is on it's way" My eyes couldn't see it on the horizon, 5min later I could see it, another 10min it was 100m from the point, 10min later was going back out to sea! Another 1/4hr it was back on the point and stayed there for 1/2hr. There were 3 guys on SUPs, 2 on the 2nd break in the seabreeze, and one straight out here in an easterly. Just after 1400 it crossed the coast, my windvane showed SW the flags up the hill SE. Don't think it got very far inland, when Steve arrived about 1530 he said it was still SE 8kts on the estuary. It was about 15kts here with maybe an 18kt gust
