Woohoo! Broke 30kts for the first time. Newer board and fin have paid off. Still working on tuning/set up but rig felt pretty balanced until the gusts hit. Then it was a bit wild (probably need to step down a size in fin.

Thanks for the congrats.

I'm pretty sure I recall the actual gust that hit and pushed me over the 30 (the board kind of jumped from about 25 to 30kts, like it was jumping up to plane)

 Hi Paul,

The real question is "Is it good for more than 30?".

I think so, with a bit more tuning, a smaller fin, sailing broader and the water a bit flatter.

I reckon I might beat Baldy to 32 (I'm certainly trying).

If only we can get out on the same day and get the team on the board. We certainly need to do so in December for the ashes series.
