LOCATION:  ANGLING CLUB

WIND:  WSW-SW- 15_18 kts PEAKING 20-25

TIDE INCOMING (AM) SLACK OUTGOING (PM)

GEAR:  JP SUper Sport 136, 36 cm Mean fin down to Jp Excite Ride 110, 32 cm Mean fin, KA KOYOTE 6.6

DETAILS:  Solo session in the Inlet today.  The tide was high so it was very lumpy early but the great wind made for some nice shaking runs!

Early one there was just 1 kiter (Glen) and myself out and we had some nice chases out to the red mark.  After about 2 hours of sailing, I came in and changed down boards.  The tide had gone out and the strip lit up!.  Runs all the way along and beautifully flat on the Eastern tip.  Heaps of kiters turned up, and I hate to say it, but they were good to sail with- keeping distance and not trying to pinch upwind...might have been the angle I was running (and maybe the immense speed!Laughing).

Definately covered some distance as well...the session was just so good in terms of winds and water conditions that I didn't want to get out.  The decision was finally made when I couldn't hold the rig anymore!

Hey Mick I was watching Pound Creek obs all day - you lucky bugger.  Sounds like another dialled in session.  Looks like you are settling into the SS.  Which board did the fastest run?  Congrats on the distance pb.

Hey Salty..

the SS was quicker (only just) but I think there was a bit more strength in the tide/wind just before lunch.
