Savudrijska vala, Piranski zaljev, whatever....

Isonic 111, Vapor 6.0, Deboichet sl4 34.

Tried new spot but it did not really work as I hoped :( Very flat water but very gusty wind and gust way to short :(

Anyway, I had great time , windsurfing with friends and met some new speedsurfers, Matjaz and Rudi!

Hi Mihi!

Bura was VERY strong in the beggining (first 15 minutes on the water) but the spot did not work very good. Gusts probably more than 40kts, but also holes of 10-15kts :(

Maybe it was because of very north direction of bura. "Speed strip" had wrong angle to the wind, but if the wind would turn more to the east, it could be great.

Hm, maybe we should compare  wind directions from yesterday and from the day you were surfing there, because yesterday wind direction was ideal for lefthanded downwinds!!! Just not strong enough! We must check and know for next time!

Well I clear some things now!

Unfortunetaly weather and wind station on Letališèe Portorož is not working properly, so we don't have direct data of wind direction for those two days. I contact Poljanar and he send me a graf of wind directions for tuesday and wednesday from Oceanska Boja Piran, which is the closest wind station . Actualy the wind direction has changed on wednesday after 14 pm for about 15 deg and in that moment the direction was ideal for total downwind along with stonewall.

Conclusion:

More eastsided Bura with continious gusts up to 35 knots and voila.....we have great speed spot!
