Fun morning sesh at Wallyworld.

Gusty nor'easter, but nice and flat behind the bar.

Futura 111 + 7.6 TR7 + 38 sting.

Good to meet JJ and also chatted briefly with Jonah.

Point Walter, WA, AU

long time since my last gps session, so long in fact that the rope on the front end of my boom snapped and took a 15 minute operation bobbing up and down infront of Freshwater bay yacht club to fix (greg buzzed me to check all was ok!).

First time i have put the 7.8 on the 86 i sonic and it seemed to go ok!

Cheers for now!

Jonah

15 to 18 knots of wind- perhaps 20 in the gusts, very gusty NE

Had some runs behind the spit which cut down the chop a bit but even more gusty

Sailed with Pointman and Grumpy

Rigged my 6.1M Severne Code Red on Severne Red Line Skinny mast, (changed to medium size red cams), works great, good rotation and no probs with the cams coming off the mast.

Futura 101  FO34 Nitro fin

Quick little blat out at Pt Walter. Got there around 10 and had missed the best of it by a long shot Cry Nice to be back out there, not so nice swimming around waiting for that fabled last gust home =P

Bring on tomorrow baby!!

Sonic 85 #1 (reincarnate, great job by Steve S!), CR6.7, Goldwing 32

Another nice day on the water. Very up and down and it was hard to make the most of the gusts to get a good 2sec speed.

Where was everyone else?.......ohh!!! thats right, at workLaughing

Pelican Point, WA, 10-15 kts, Formula 161, CR10

What a great way to finish the working week! I thought all the wind had gone when I arrived at Peli but rigged anyway. Turned out to be a great session, super flat with the occassional gust to bear away on. A couple of other Formulas out there and Snides trying to get going on large slalom gear. Loving the Formula!

not so nice swimming around waiting for that fabled last gust home

Sorry you had a repeat of my experience yesterday Jake, but I am comforted that really good sailors have that problem too.

Glad to see your injuries/course work allowed you to get out on the water.

Congrats on breaking the 30 knots barrier, JJ, I'm still aiming for that one.

Mine was more like 13 minutes, that's why I decided to quit so early.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow. See you there.

I plan to check out peli pt first as I'll be over that way, but I expect to end up at wallyworld given it is most probably going to be a NE'er. Not W-wording again tomorrow Mark?
