Decided to rebook my return ferry to Ireland and make a trip to the Kirb for what looked like a decent forecast. When i woke in the morning the forecasted wind wasn't there and i decided to wait and see if the wind would build but it never did. I decided to get out on the water anyway and ended up having one of the best sessions i've had in the past couple of years, not really big speeds but great fun. I spent most of the session seing how close i could get to the wall ;-))

Great to meet up with Darren Mathers and Mark Hayford again, i'll definitely be going back on a big forecast

Nice to see you get a pb for your average shame it wasn't a 30 average mate, but a bit confused how a person of your caliber couldn't go as quick as the locals (http://www.gps-speedsurfing.com/?mnu=forum&forum=2&val=29807)  seeing you finished 69th on the world ranking for the speed world cup and 4th fastest in Ireland for 2010.

I suppose it takes time to adapt to a new location? anyway glad you got out at West Kirby i am envious not made it up there yet, sooner than later?

Keep it up Laters......Smile

Wasn't that windy, only averaging 14-15 knots so getting big speeds was hard. Needed to be out on my I Sonic W53 but wouldn't have been able to get it going :-( and Mark had the edge on me as he was on his speedboard (I Sonic W58) which is quicker than my I Sonic 86 and bigger sail (8.0) and i was a little underpowered at times on my 7.3m. Couldn't use my 8.3 cause i damaged it at the UKWA event at Rutland

Was getting quicker as the day went on and getting more used to the spot but had to pack up and leave to catch my ferry which was a shame as i reckon i could have got my speeds closer to Mark's and definitely got my 5 x 10 sec average over 30 knots
