JPss127 - Loft 7.4-02

Started on 12knts called it a day around 22knts

Nice day - Wind came in latish - struggled with the 7.4 for the last half hour - it was to late for me to change down

Bring on the summer sea breezes!

AB59 (95L), 39cm Select fin (rather large for such a narrow board) 7.0m Maui TR6...

Sweet ride. 29.22 knot to shabby!

Then changed down to a 34cm Nitro fin and had HEAPS of spinout issues.

Solved some by moving harness lines forward!, and mast base back, but wasn't perfect.

I think the Nitro fin likes going up wind better than on a broad reach. Felt really good, until it goes sideways.

1st time back at Kyeemagh, NSW, AU in quite a while.

Alfamale.

Storm Riders Slalom Series good breeze and good turn out.

Too much board for the condition, but its the only slalom board I have at the moment.

Stormriders Slalom series. Great fun for my first time racing. I was definately under sailed and boarded for the first 2 heats and finals but found a bit of a groove when the wind really picked up for the last heat and final. Need to work on my gybes BIG time as that can make or break your race in a blink of an eye.

Yet again there were 60 sailors out on Botany, so good to see the sport making a great comeback. Hopefully next time we can entice some to get involved in the slalom racing.

On ya Rexy, well done son and great to have you onboard. Yep, starts are a bitch! You're right too mate on another front, we do need to get e few more on the race course? If you have the details of any potential punters out there who are not our list, send through their details to Dave or I and we can start harassing them with messages through the new Stormriders Big Brother device? Aside from the web site, from now on we can get timing and location details to people right up until the last minute of the race day?Laughing
