Canton Beach, NSW, AU

Tabou Rocket 105, Loft 02 5.9m, Select weed fin.

A really fun sail. Wind was a bit up and down and swung around a bit. It was squally too. However overall the wind was great. I should have used the GoPro as I had a few big crashes. Plenty of potential for speed today. Very choppy out in the lake but quite flat closer to the shore. The weed was pretty bad. It was impossible to sail with confidence within 50 meters of the shore.

Mick was sailing really well, great gybes, something I couldn't manage today.

Go Moby! Congrats on the PBs. Sorry not to post any times today - I was planning to join the NSW slalom event but was too hung over...

Thanks everyone.

Canton Beach has real speed potential in a southerly or SW wind. The water was quite flat on the inside despite being very choppy with a short sharp swell out in the lake.

I had some unreal runs down the lake. It was good to get speed PBs as it felt really fast for me. The boom was whistling which is a good sign.
